Out to supper

Lingering snow on Blackmoor

as I drive past, visiting various farms to see how they're coping with the wintry lambing.
     In the evening we go to a fund-raising supper held to enable the running of a "Community Fair" in late May.  The small turnout looked disappointing, but the meal and the company were excellent, enabling us all to talk together about local life in a way that would have been impossible in a large impersonal gathering.
