I was expecting a quiet morning but there were two long phone calls, one from a parishioner who believes that the Church fails to communicate effectively with people, but who responded to my writing in a local magazine that there is much in life that we don't notice: "It's a reminder to take Easter seriously and sense what lies just beneath the surface of life, just over the horizon or just through the mist."
