Time to admire the now developing rowan tree planted years ago and bitten off  --  not by the horse who was kept away by protective fencing, but by a rabbit.

Bishop's pilgrimage

The bishop and her husband set out from St Oswald's Heavenfield to walk to Holy Island accompanied by...

...a group of people doing the first seventeen miles today. After prayers and hymns inside the church, they strike off across the field to Hadrian's Wall.
