After spending some time setting up features of the Lindisfarne Gospels display that had been put away overnight, I went to Otterburn to take the Wednesday morning Communion service. Back to Bellingham just in time for a very interesting talk from the Assistant Director of Bede's World Museum about the astonishing sophistication and influence of the scholarship that came out of Northumbria 1300 years ago.
I returned to church to welcome the next visiting school.
In the evening we gathered for a Book Group which ranged over topics stimulated by books which ranged from The Life of Pi to Holocaust and conversion experience.
